The East Hartford Taxpayers
Association initiated and worked to change our Town Charter to give you the
right to petition to put the town’s budget on the ballot to control your
taxes.
We are now working to protect
your interests as Your Properties are Being Revalued! The Town of East Hartford has contracted with a company to assess the market value of
your home. This could mean a
substantial increase in you local property taxes, well beyond what you are
paying now. The East Hartford Taxpayers Association is working hard to protect you.
We invite you to attend the June
22 meeting of The East
Hartford Taxpayer
Association where we will explain the Revaluation process, its impact upon you
as a homeowner and taxpayer, and how you can help to protect yourself and your
family against a substantial tax increase.
Wed, June 22, 2005 at 6:30 PM in Town Hall,
740 Main Street, East Hartford, 2nd Fl Conference Room.
Please refer
to the East Hartford Gazette and visit the website of The Federation of
Connecticut Taxpayer Organizations, Inc. at http://ctact.org/ to learn
of future meetings and issues of importance to you, your family and the town. You can email EHTA
at fctopresident@aol.com.
Please provide us with your
email address for future announcements.
Our goal is to have our own
website up and running in a couple of months.
